Tussen de haven Vlissingen-Oost en de stadregio Middelburg-Vlissingen ligt een landbouwgebied waaronder de Schorerpolder (figuur 1). Eigenaar is Zeeland Seaports (ZSP) die de polder gaan gebruiken voor natuurcompensatie bij verdere havenuitbreiding. Het inrichten en gebruiken van een dergelijk nieuw natuurgebied vraagt om expertise op vele kennisgebieden en betrokkenheid van alle partijen om te komen tot gedeelde uitgangspunten, kennisdeling en gedragen keuzes. Zodoende is dit vraagstuk een ideaal onderwerp voor een integrale aanpak waarbij onderwijs, kennispartners, overheden en bedrijven samenwerken op een zeer actueel beleidsterrein.

The area
